Solid Ink Horitomo Fudo Blue Black is a deep, powerful blue-black tattoo ink developed for traditional Japanese tattooing. Created in collaboration with renowned Japanese tattoo artist Horitomo, this distinctive shade draws inspiration from the historical depiction of Fudo Myo-o, a prominent figure in Japanese Buddhist imagery.
The colour is based on the Jyu-Kyu Kan text, which describes the skin of Fudo Myo-o as blue-black. Horitomo developed this pigment to capture that characteristic appearance, providing tattoo artists with an authentic colour for Japanese irezumi and traditional compositions.
With its dark, cool undertones, Fudo Blue Black is particularly effective for depicting Fudo Myo-o, creating dramatic contrast and adding depth to Japanese tattoo designs.
